Meet Susanne

Susanne from SussesSpindehjrne will be hosting our sneak attack today at 3pm.

Susanne is a frequent sponsor who loves to surprise new Etsy shops. She loves to help new members and not so new members as well.

She is a fiber guru. And I have to admit I'm kind of obsessed with fiber. So I'm always delighted to see new types in Susanne's shop.

So I browsed Susanne's shop today before I started writing my post and oh this is gorgeous

Don't you agree?

You will find other gorgeous yarn, fiber, and clothing too. If  you are like me, you will have a hard time making up your mind.

Then come join us in our  Sneak Attack Thread as we try to figure out who Susanne's victims will be by the clues she provides.

Meet Virginia

Virginia, from MadeByHand, is one of our California Gals. She loves to host sneak attacks, make treasuries and help new Etsy shops get a great start!

Virginia is hosting our Sneak Attack today - and will reveal her 'victims' at 3pm Etsy time. In the meantime, she will tease us with clues as to who her 'victims' might be!

Virginia was a 'victim' herself in 2011 - her host was Heather from winemakerssister - thanks Heather!

Says Virginia:

My shop was Sneak Attacked in October 2011 and I'll never forget the feeling -- it was a mix of gratitude and disbelief! I decided to pay it forward and immediately joined the team! It's the best team on Etsy!

I always love to browse Virginia's shop, and I found lots of things in her Sold section that I have bought over the last couple of years. One of my favorites is this crocheted bag - so nice and roomy - wonderful for projects, going to the beach and anything else you can think of!

Keep checking Virginia's shop - she is always adding something new.

And come join us in our Sneak Attack thread today - for lots of fun and chatting all day long.

Meet Susanne

Susanne from SussesSpindehjrne is hosting our Sneak Attack today at 2pm. A fun host, and always ready to help new Etsy shops.

We had another host scheduled for today - but she was called into work. Susanne volunteered to step in. And that's what the team is all about - helping others. You go Susanne!

Susanne crochets, knits, spins yarn, dyes yarn - so much talent and I always have a hard time figuring out which of her items are my favorite. Because our winter has been so long and so cold - I always love using my fingerless gloves when I work on the computer and I adore these! Be stylish while keeping warm.

I know you will have FUN browsing Susanne's shop - there is something for everyone.

Join us in our Sneak Attack thread - see if you can guess who Susanne's 'victims' will be!

Meet Sandi

Sandi from HandmadeBySandi is hosting our Sneak Attack today at 3pm.

A long time member and frequent hostess, Sandi loves to challenge her team mates to try and guess who her 'victims' will be. And she loves all the Treasuries that they create featuring new and undiscovered Etsy shops.

Finding the Sneak Attack/Handmade Movement team, shortly after she created her shop, Sandi loves to help new shops get started with their business. And she loves all the creativity that she finds!

Today's sneak attack has a yellow/spring theme - so I took a look at all the creations in Sandi's shop and found this - what a great way to keep pins from getting lost or falling to the floor.

You will find all kinds of creations for your home as well as yourself in Sandi's shop - have fun browsing.

And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread - can you guess who the victims will be?

Blast from the Sneak Attack Past March 12th 2014

This week I had the pleasure of chatting with Carolyn from hilemanhouse, Carolyn creates everything you can imagine from party favor boxes to 3D Eiffle towers. Each are die cute from a piece of acid and lignin free card stock.

This is my favorite; "eat, sleep, read" I can imagine it's popular, perfect for kids, teens, and adults! HilemanHouse was Sneak Attack on February 24, 2011 and received 3 sales from the attack. Today Carolyn's shop is staying very busy with over 1,000 sales.

I asked Carolyn how the Sneak Attack affected her shop, here's what she shared;

How did the sneak attack affect your shop?
It made me believe that I had a product that would sell and that is very important when you are just starting out.

What was your reaction to the sneak attack?
I totally freaked, a real honest to goodness sell I could not believe it...

Are you selling on other venues?
Not at this point ETSY keeps me to busy to even consider it at this point.

Comments you would like us to pass on to the team?
You guys are the greatest, you took a shop selling practically nothing and gave the owner courage enough to keep going and that owner on slow months has at the very least 300.00 in sales. All of that because someone decided to look at my shop, I really cannot thank you enough.

Anything else you'd like to share?
Lets see I have learned one very important thing, let your customers decide what you are going to sell them. When I started out all I wanted to do is sell silhouettes, but my customers were wanting party supplies, I learned how to make them and even design my own and have never looked back. We sell a lot of Paris items and New York and are just now moving into the 18" - 24" range because that is what they are asking me for. I love my work and my customers because they tend to challenge me on a daily basis, it really does not get any better than this...

Such a great shop and so wonderful to hear about from Carolyn. Stop by HilemanHouse and pick a few favorites of your own.

Until next time,

Audrey, of Audreysdecoupagedesi has given us a beautiful treasury featuring today's Hostess, Theresa of KraftyGrannysHome.etsy.com and her "Victims"

Meet Theresa

Theresa from KraftyGrannysHome is hosting our Sneak Attack today at 2pm.

I asked Theresa why she joined our team:

When I got Sneaked it just thrilled me so much, after joining the Handmade Movement group it was great sneaking and trying to figure out what shops it might be (like a game) and I love games. These are just the best group of people I feel like I've known them my entire life.

Theresa was a 'victim' in November 2011 - Wendy selected her shop. And the rest is history - Theresa loves to host sneak attacks!!

I always love to browse Theresa's shop. She creates so many new and unique items.

This is my favorite pillow - of course it might be because I have one sitting on my couch!!

Whether you like items for your home, apparel, or baby items, you will find what you need and want at  Theresa's shop.

Then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread to find out who our 'victims' will be today.
