Meet Susanne

Susanne from SussesSpindehjrne is hosting our sneak attack today at 3pm, Etsy time.

One of our frequent hosts - Susanne is a member of our international community, and loves to find new Etsy shops to surprise. She always gives lots of cute clues and makes sure that there is at least one shop which features fiber of some kind.

Many of our members are obsessed with fiber - and Susanne dyes and spins her own fiber as well! You can always find the most gorgeous yarn and rovings in Susanne's shop! Personally, I have a hard time picking my favorite!!

Whether you spin fiber, love to work with fiber, or adore clothes made from fiber, you will find something in Susanne's shop to appeal. Be sure to check out all of her creations.

And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread to find out more about our special 'victims' for today.

Blast from the Sneak Attack Past February 26, 2014

This week I had the pleasure of visiting the founder of the Sneak Attacks shop, Michael of Scatterbrain Tees.  His shop features popular graphic T shirts and messenger bags.
Sneak attacks were in full swing when the team decided to attack Michael on 09/24/09.

This is what Michael had to say about the Sneak Attack on his shop:
The Sneak Attack was amazing. I am the founder of the SAs but haven't been connected to them for some time because of lack of time. The team did a surprise Sneak Attack on me- I had no idea it was going to happen. I'm still very thankful for it! I'll let you feature someone else as I'm sure there are others who would appreciate some more recognition. Thanks for the work you do!

He wanted me to feature someone else but I decided he deserved the recognition for getting this wonderful team going.  Without it many new and undiscovered shops would of given up.  I myself am thankful everyday for the support from this team in both my business and personal affairs.

I found some great items in Michael's shop.  These are some of my favorites.

I recently got a chance to chat with Ema from rainsontheplain, her shop was Sneak Attacked on August 24, 2009. Her shop is full of nature photography, still life, digital prints, and paintings.

When asked how the Sneak Attack affected her shop, here's what she shared;

After my shop was Sneak Attacked, it closed a few months later. I didn't reopen on Etsy until May 2013, but I had a shop on Society6 starting in September 2012. The sneak was great, but I just wasn't able to keep my shop open afterwards.

My reaction to the Sneak Attack was mostly gratitude, if I remember correctly, because I hadn't had any sales until then. It was a very nice gesture.

In the time I spent away from Etsy, I have worked extensively on my photography and now offer wedding and portraiture services. I also do work on spoonflower.com and with the IAAA (International Association of Astronomical Artists), of which I am an artist member. More of my work can be found on my website, rainsontheplain.com or on my blog artandcookies.blogspot.com.

It's wonderful to hear about these past shops and see how they are doing today. These gorgeous flowers make me think of Spring! They are lovely. Take a look around rainsontheplain and pick a few favorites of your own.

Until Next Time,

Audrey of Audreysdecoupagedesi has given us another beautiful treasury of our "Victims" and Hosts today!

Meet EliSe and Lynn

EliSe from xEsFunThings, and Lynn from LynnHanousekDesigns - have paired up to host today's sneak attack at 3pm. From both sides of the pond - this duo is so excited about today's victims.

We have met EliSe before - she is a frequent host and loves to surprise Etsy shops - many of whom are in the international community.

With her passion for beads - you can always find something new in her shop - like these pink bracelets with bells!! And I love the way EliSe photographs her creations - using shells.

It's been awhile since Lynn has been a host - due to family responsibilities. And since family comes first - we have waited patiently for her return.

I asked Lynn what her plans were for her shop and creations during 2014. Here is her response:

I do have plans for 2014. As with many of our teamies, I have tons of ideas to expand my product line and fill my shop with loads of items. Being on this team inspires me as we share with one another and move toward our goals. I'm hoping to get 2 major projects (not related to my shop) done soon so I'll have more time to really dig in and get my shop going again. Until then, I'm happy to hang out and just be sneaky.

I really love the gift sets that Lynn now has in her shop - adorable prints and bookmarks to match. And since I'm very partial to cats - this is my favorite.

You are sure to find your favorite beaded item in EliSe's shop as well as cats of all kinds in Lynn's. Take your time browsing - it's so much fun.

And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread as we find out interesting things about the 'victims' you will meet later today!

Meet Bente and Theresa

Bente from Sweetiespearls and Theresa from KraftyGrannysHome are co-sponsoring our sneak attack today at 2pm.

We love it when we team together a member from the US and  a member from the international community. Makes it easy for team members to find shops close to them to purchase from. Of course giving lots of views and hearts to all the shops means so very much.

I recently asked Bente what her plans were for her shop in 2014.

I hope that i will get some new items listed. I have about 100 finished items that i would like to get listed. I also hope i will have more time to make new items. I have so many beads in all kinds of colors and many ideas that i would like to try.

I love this bracelet from Bente's shop - it's so simple, yet so elegant!

We know that Theresa is always looking for new ideas and patterns to add to her shop. I found these when I went browsing in her shop - and the fabric is adorable!

With two such wonderful shops to browse through - we know that you will love everything you find!

And then come join us in our sneak attack thread as we get some clues as to who our latest 'victims' might be.

Blast from the Sneak Attack Past February 12, 2014

This week I got the pleasure of visiting this delicious shop Panache Confections, featuring chocolates, wedding favors. and more.
I asked the shop's owner some questions and this is what she had to say about the sneak attack on her shop.
The sneak attack got me a few followers and maybe two small orders.
My reaction to the sneak attack-was amazing-I didnt know what a sneak attack was until then and I loved it and love the idea of it...
I do not sell on other venues except from my website and an ecommerce shop. I advertise in many other ways also.

I am disappointed with the number of sales I have had since I joined etsy. I feel that it is very hard for people to find certain items. I wish I could figure out a better way to market myself on etsy or find a way to get more customers to find my products on etsy. I’m hoping to make 2014 better and grow my business!
I love etsy and recommend everyone make purchases there.
Thank you.

Panache Confections started off with 2 sales on 09/03/09 and after the sneak attack had an additional 5 sales.
I browsed around and found some fantastic gifts for your sweetie.  These are my personal favorites.
and these
Until next time (February 26, 2014)  Kelly

Summer of SKWOriginalsbySummer also made a beautiful treasury of our "Victims" and Sponsors!

Meet Sandi and Barbara

Sandi from HandmadeBySandi and Barbara from byvala are co-sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm.

Members on either side of the pond are bringing together their clues and 'victims' for us to surprise!

I recently asked Barbara what her plans were for her shop in 2014.

My plans for 2014 are to totally focus on my Etsy shop. I will put all my energy in online selling through Etsy. I'm planning on photographing some new items. I'm also working on a series of headbands for next winter. I'm expecting a baby in June, so during the summer I want to take pictures of all my baby blankets with my newborn model ;-)

We are doing a yellow theme today in the sneak attack thread - so in keeping with that - take a look at this cute smart phone sleeve - designed to protect it in your purse or tote or even pocket!

Sandi is always working on new designs and creations. This sunny yellow pin cushion is just perfect for brightening up any room.

Be sure to check out all the creations in our co-sponsor's shops. You are bound to find something that catches your eye!

And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread to find out about our 'victims'

Terri of terristeases made this lovely treasury of our "Victims" and Sponsor Summer!

Meet Summer

Summer from skworiginalsbysummer, is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm.

A long time member, Summer hasn't had the opportunity to sponsor in awhile, and we are so glad she is sponsoring today!

I asked Summer what her plans were for 2014:

I am really hoping that I can make some more wreaths this year. I have so much fun making them. I love that I can take something that seems so seasonal, and find a way to transform it into something completely unexpected! There are so many changes going on in my life right now that I really am hoping that Etsy can remain one of the few "constants" that will help keep me grounded. I love crafting and I have so many ideas that I am busting at the seems to try them all!

Speaking of Wreaths  - this one is so gorgeous and can be used all year round!

Summer's creativity is not limited to wreaths - check out all her work - I know you will find something that calls out to you!

Then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread - to see if you can guess who our 'victim's will be by Summer's poem of clues.

Meet Sandi and EliSe

Sandi from HandmadeBySandi and EliSe from xEsFunThings, are co-sponsoring again - for today, Monday February 3rd at 3pm.

This duo has co-sponsored before and always comes up with the neatest new Etsy shops to surprise!

I love our team, and the new creations that you can see in their shops are adorable, inventive, and too cute!

Sandi's latest is a collection of soap savers - perfect for saving money by not throwing away those slivers of soap that are too small to work with. Here's one of them.

I always love to browse EliSe's shop to see the latest as well.  I'm used to seeing EliSe's beaded necklaces, but this satin cord in a rich green color really looks elegant!

Check out both shops - you are sure to find something to 'tickle your fancy'. And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread as we find out what intriguing clues our co-sponsors have for us!
