Meet Debbie

Debbie from SweetgrassValley is hosting our Sneak Attack today at 2pm. Debbie hosts as often as she can - she is one of our members who works outside the home.

Whenever one of our members hosts a Sneak Attack - I try to find out where their creativity comes from. Says Debbie:

I come from a family of talented artists through my father, an uncle and an aunt, their father and his father before that, I am blessed to have inherited some of their talent and was privileged to be able to watch and learn from my father who did pencil and ink drawings and later made many musical instruments and my favorite aunt who painted beautiful art using the mediums of pencil, ink, watercolor, oils and pastels, she taught me many things about the mechanics of creating a painting and bringing life to a portrait. My father and aunt both had a love and respect for nature and all life and this was instilled in me as well.

I love to browse Debbie's shop - take a look at my favorites.

Be sure to check out Debbie's shop - so much love and creativity.
And come join us in our sneak attack thread for lots of fun, meet our members and see who our 'victims' will be at 2pm.

I love this little owl - perfect for business cards and gift cards

Meet Debbie

Debbie from BumperStickersnmore is hosting our sneak attack today at 2pm. Debbie hosts as often as she can, and always finds 'victims' who have wonderful creations for us to see.

I mentioned a while ago that Debbie found a lot of her items in the upstairs attic of an old barn/workshop on a property she purchased a few years ago. I asked Debbie to go into a little more detail - as her finds are wonderful.

An interesting thing about the things I sell in this shop is that most were found in the attic. The man who owned the property before me (Mr. Powell) was a teacher and he kept all sorts of things from school lessons and tests and books, very interesting things that I haven't listed yet too. Although, we have the last name we weren't related. I heard he was a very beloved teacher and quite a character, he used to sell the items at flea markets and such, I often wonder what he would think about them being in an online flea market today. I think he would be happy people still enjoy them.

Some of the interesting and USA items -

Be sure to check out Debbie's shop for a variety of items she found in the attic!

And come join us in our sneak attack thread - for lots of fun!

Meet Debbie

Debbie from BumperStickersnmore is hosting our sneak attack today at 2pm. Debbie loves to be a host - she gets to pick the 'victims' that we will meet later today.

I recently asked Debbie to tell us a little about what is going on in her life. I was delighted to hear that she loves to garden - we do too.

My creativity lately has been in the kitchen and finding ways to use up all my garden yummies. I enjoy cooking and baking and get lots of compliments on the things I make, a recent favorite is a zucchini and heirloom tomato galette.

Galette is a term used in French cuisine to designate various types of flat round or freeform crusty cakes, or, in the case of a Breton galette, a pancake made with buckwheat flour usually with a savory filling.

This is an example of a galette - you will have to ask Debbie for her recipe - so yummy looking

While Debbie's shop doesn't have any recipes - there are lots of neat and unique items you will love.

And come join us in our Sneak Attack thread for lots of fun.

Meet Kaye

Kaye, from sayitwithblooms is hosting our sneak attack today at 2pm.

As one of our newest hosts, I asked Kaye what prompted her to join our team. She said:

I was the 'victim' of a Sneak Attack a few years ago and it gave my little shop the kick start that it needed. Since then, I've enjoyed participating in the SAs and seeing all the wonderful things that the team members make. (Kaye's shop was attacked in August of 2014.)

I love browsing the shops of our hosts - and our other members as well. One of the things I love about Kaye's creations is that she makes quilled cards and gift tags.

Oh, I could show you all of my favorites - but I'd rather you have fun browsing!

And come join us in our Sneak Attack Thread - see what Kaye has in store for us when she reveals the names of her 'victims' at 2pm.

Meet Theresa

Theresa from KraftyGrannysHome is hosting our sneak attack today at 2pm. Theresa is a long time member and a frequent host. She loves surprising new Etsy shops!

Ever wonder how a shop got it's name? Here's Theresa's answer...

The name was tough I knew I like being crafty, so I went with a "K" instead of the "C" - Granny just because that is want I am, and Home because that is where the Heart is.

And she is indeed Krafty!! Theresa loves to try new patterns -

Lots of wonderful creations in Theresa's shop - feel free to browse.

Sandi from HandmadeBySandi is hosting our sneak attack today at 2pm. A long time member, Sandi loves to find great new Etsy shops to surprise.

We have a lot of members in our Handmade Movement team, many of whom have hosted sneak attacks in the past. Others help finding shops, co-host, and help the team as well. Not everyone can host - but for those who can, it's very rewarding.

Want to know more about how you can host a sneak attack? Check out this link. Of course if you have questions we are always here to help.

Meet Andrea and Leslie

Andrea from cunninglycrafted and Leslie from themudplace are co-hosting our Sneak Attack today at 2pm Etsy time.

Andrea has been a member for quite awhile and Leslie is a brand new member - always love when a new member pairs up with a 'veteran' to help new Etsy shops.

A bit about Andrea:

I have been sewing since I was 16. I started out wanting to be able to make clothes for myself, then discovered it is more fun to make clothes for other people! I make jean skirts and swim "board" skirts out of pre-loved jeans and swim trunks.

And Leslie:

I discovered an interest in clay with a pottery class I took in Jr. High School. It was just basic hand building techniques, like slab and coil work, but it was enough to plant a seed. The first time I had access to a pottery wheel, I was in High School. After my very first session on the potter's wheel, I was hooked!

I love all the 'remakes' from Andrea's shop!

And I love the pottery from Leslie's shop

Which will you choose as you browse these wonderful shops?

Join us in our sneak attack thread for lots of fun!
